Corsage refers to a small bouquet of flowers worn on a woman's dress or worn around her wrist. In Australia and New Zealand it is considered courteous to provide a corsage to your date/partner. It has become a customary practice and displays an act of thoughtfulness and love. In the United States it is customary for a man to buy a corsage for his date. It can be a pin-on type corsage, or one she can wear around her wrist. Some even buy a modified nosegay that a girl can carry in her hand. Ideally the colours of the flowers should complement the lady's dress. Some couples like to go together and choose the flowers.
