Just a few weeks after the release of Apple's iPhone 5, word is spreading that the fifth generation of the iPod Touch is already on its way. The new iPod Touch release date is slated for late October, according to Slash Gear. When the iPod Touch announcement was made during Apple's iPhone 5 launch, the only information given about the iPod was that it would be released in October. Slash Gear reported that Australian users are now seeing a ship date of three weeks on Apple‘s website. The new iPod Nano reportedly has the same release date as the iPod Touch.
